That's it for the $20K Stretch Goal! This was a tough one to crack, we went back and forth for a couple of days but now I'm stoked to officially announce the $20K SG has been unlocked \o/

As we head into our final week on Kickstarter there's still plenty left to unlock yet and I can't wait to see how far we will get to go down the list.

Please note that the Stretch Goals have changed a little bit. I had one backer make a suggestion and it made perfect sense. We can always manufacture the cards in future Kickstarters but it's important for us to go all in with the book upgrades.

With that in mind I bumped down the Metal Card to be our ultimate Stretch Goal at $30K and moved up the upgrades to the hardcover edition. Here's what we can still unlock this week:

So there you go, folks, we have some really exciting upgrades to look for. If you are on the fence between the softcover and hardcover editions, I'd seriously consider upping your pledge and going all in for the hardcover.

I promise we will make it worth every extra buck =D

THE ART CONTEST ENDS TOMORROW

I couldn't be happier with the art contest. So far we have received over 50 artworks featuring the Redhead and the quality has just been astonishing. It will be a hell of a challenge to pick just three of them to be published in the book and receive the cash prizes.

The contest ends TOMORROW at 11:59pm EST. That's Sunday April 5th.

If you are an artist looking to submit a piece please keep the above deadline in mind and find me either on Facebook or Instagram to follow up on all the entries submitted so far. I will leave a few here so you can all check out how awesome the contest has been.

Hiya everyone!

I hope this finds you all safe amidst these strange times we're going through. I wanted to really express my gratitude towards every single pledge, every single backer, for even at times like these continue to support my work, my family and The Few and Cursed universe.

Thank you all so much, really, thank you!

You all did this... we just unlocked another Stretch Goal! The $18K Stretch Goal is up in smokes and that means I'm adding another gorgeous and brand new collectible card to every package going out in the mail:

And we are actually not that far behind the next one which unlocks a high-end bookmark with tassel because let's face it, folks, a deluxe oversized art book deserves a bookmark to match, right?

I'm happy to be able to do these spotlights. More than never I really feel we need to exercise the community spirit. This is a project that came to my attention as a number of comic book creators have joined a group on Facebook to help each other - specially retailers - overcome the Corona virus impact on the industry.

I saw that Dan Parent had a project currently live on Kickstarter and I decided to reach out and see if we could help each other. If this is of interest please go check out Die Kitty Die. From their own page: "Kitty Ravencraft is back!  The last time we saw her, she survived death  in DKD: HEAVEN & HELL! And as she was celebrating surviving the  clutches of death once again, a strange alien force abducted Kitty,  leaving us all to wonder what was going to happen to our poor Kitty once  again!"

Dan is going exceedingly well on Kickstarter and pretty close to his funding goal. How about some of us go lend him a hand?

Before we get into all the Painting the World Red news let me first do something to help during this time of worldwide crisis. I've been wanting to find a way to be proactive in helping, even if just a little, and this might do the trick.

In other piece of news... we just unlocked our Stretch Goal #3 adding a nice set of postcards to every package sent in the mail!

I'm overwhelmed at the display of support for the art book, this campaign has exceeded all my expectations in every possible way and I just wanted to thank you so much.

Russell Nohelty is not just an exciting creator with some awesome books he is also a very kind and open person. Whenever his posts pop up on Facebook for me I know it will be something informative and designed to help the community around him. He's that kind of person.

That's why it's not effort at all on my part to recommend his latest graphic novel on Kickstarter. Also his titles are just the best. From his own page: "These books are our love letter to Lovecraft fans of all kinds, from those that obsess about Cthulhu, to the ones that never want to leave Arkham, to the ones that  keep a copy of the Necronomicon under their pillow, and everyone in between. Whether you are a casual fan or a rabid one, we've got you  covered."

Go check it out, he is doing super well and even though his goal was ambitious he is 90% there and you could probably help get it over 100%.

Hey everyone!

Sorry about being MIA for the last couple of days. Amidst all the Corona Virus news and the travels / meetings I couldn't reschedule it goes without saying that the last few days have been hectic to say the least.

But I'm still doing my very best to find the time to work on the Kickstarter and I couldn't be more appreciative of your amazing support. It's with great joy I get to announce:

THE FIRST TWO STRETCH GOALS HAVE BEEN UNLOCKED AND A THIRD ONE IS ON THE HORIZON ALREADY!

I'm particularly excited about unlocking the collectible cards because I'm an avid card collector myself. Not to mention Eduardo Pansica's art is just absolutely stunning. Please scroll down for a full reveal of his artwork that will be printed as the first of the Emerald Signatures Series.

The Emerald Series will be very similar as the Gold and Silver cards the main difference will be the green hot-stamping finish,

Caio Cacau also finished the artwork for the fine mini-print that will accompany EVERY Hardcover edition of the art book.

I loved how stylish and detailed this piece turned out. Caio's work on the textures is just gorgeous...

Hildebrand Valkyrie - A Medieval Odyssey

It's no secret I'm a big believer of community spirit. It's one of the key reasons I keep coming back to Kickstarter, I feel we are all a big community helping each other out. And so I think it's only right to cross-promote with other exciting comic book creators and their projects.

The idea is I share their project to my current backers and in turn they share our project to their backers. It's a win-win for everyone \o/

First project I would love to spotlight is Hildebrand Valkyrie - A Medieval Odyssey by Rob MacKinnon and Vigilante Comix. The project is already fully funded and going after Stretch Goals as well. Rob has been a Few and Cursed supporter for a while now and I've gotten to know his work through his Deborah Daring comics.

From their own page: "This is the heroic tale of an intrepid young female knight's exploits  through Medieval Europe. Hildebrand started life as an orphan raised by  the Catholic church, but her path to a greater destiny began when she  was hired as a scullery maid by Cuthred, a recently widowed Mercian  Lord. Enchanted by her beauty and boisterous spirit, Cuthred not only  took Hildebrand as his lover, but also trained her to be his page in  battle. After being struck down in a Viking invasion, Lord Cuthred implored Hildebrand to take up his sword and assume his household. Despite the resentment of the local magistrate, Hilda thrives in her new  role. However, the path of her comfortable new life is irrevocably  altered when she encounters a bedraggled missionary collapsed on her  land. After bringing him to her home, the missionary reveals shocking  information that will forever change the path of Hildebrand's life."

I hope you guys have enjoyed this art-filled update. I'm thrilled we already got so far with this Kickstarter and that we are already unlocking some great extras.

BRING ON THE HEY (AND THE STRETCH GOALS!!!)

Before we get into the real excitement of the Stretch Goals let me take a moment to recognize and appreciate the undying support you have all shown the Redhead and The Few and Cursed universe.

Thank you so much for pledging on Day 1 and blasting any expectations I might have had. I know this is a much different project and publication than the comics and it's quite overwhelming to see almost 200 backers pounce on this.

With all that said it's time to give something back to y'all so brace yourselves for an amazing line-up of Stretch Goals \o/

We have Stretch Goal #1 in our sights already and I really hope we can unlock it over the weekend. Next up is a brand new collectible card for our ever-growing collection. As a big card collector myself I personally always look forward to these \o/
